We continue to ready for your return into the karate school and upon your return, we will review safety practices daily adjusting them when necessary. Upon re-opening all persons who enter the dojo must ensure they clear the COVID-19 screening and there will only be one (1) accompanying person permitted to watch their child (under 16 yrs) in class. Beyond the daily cleaning already done at the dojo the following will take place: 1) all dojo equipment used in class will be properly disinfected 2) the training floor will be cleaned between classes 3) all chairs and touch points will be wiped down with disinfectant wipes. While we have not been provided the provinces requirements for re-opening, for your safety 1) everyone who enters and leaves the karate school must use the hand sanitizer at the front entrance, 2) everyone who uses the bathroom must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer, 3) students who use the equipment must use hand sanitizer both before and after equipment use (including sparring equipment), 4) there will be no physical contact between students/instructors and 5) students will be physically distanced in class.
Class sizes are reduced and new class times are now in place to allow for a buffer between classes to meet our physical-distancing protocols. For those who may be hesitant about returning to class once the dojo re-opens, we will continue to offer classes through Zoom. We understand your hesitation and have this option available to ease your concerns. More information about the Zoom classes with the re-opening of the dojo will be available once we have more information about the restrictions being lifted.
