SIX BRING HOME THE HARDWARD

6 Barrie martial artists returned home from Hamilton with an arm full of awards after participating in
the Circle Of Friends tournament on Saturday May 9th.  The large event sanctioned by the National Martial
Arts Circuit proved to be a success for the seven martial artists who represented the dojo well.  

White belt William M performed well in only his second tournament since starting karate placing second
in kata and third in sparring.    Competing in his fourth tournament this year orange belt Jacob M gave a
strong performance placing second in kata, second in sparring and was a finalist in the weapons division.  

Red belt red belt Tyler M-Z continues to give his personal best resulting in him placing first in kata, second
in sparring and third in weapons.  

Green belt Rachel P in her fourth competition of the year did well placing second in sparring, second in kata
and fifth in weapons.  

Purple belt Samantha M was all smiles after winning first place in the kata division.  She also went on to place
second in musical weapons, third in sparring and fifth in weapons.  

Black belt Tressa Young did well placing first in musical weapons, second in weapons, third in kata and was a
finalist in the sparring division.
